Privacy policy
Last updated 2026-10-18. This policy covers colorkinbooks.com (Colorkin), foundingaccess.app and every product page on its subdomains.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you join a founding list, and the plan you chose if you clicked one.
- Photos you upload to a product that works on photos (such as Colorkin), and the pages made from them.
- Party details you type into a product that makes a party kit (such as Mysterykin): your guests' first names, the host's name, the date and the place, and the kit made from them.
- Purchases: what you bought and the amount. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see your card number. Stripe shares your email address with us only as part of your receipt.
- Printed orders (such as a printed Colorkin book): the name, shipping address and phone number you give at checkout, the title and dedication you typed, and your confirmation that everyone pictured is happy for their photos to be printed.
- How the page is used: page views, scrolling, and clicks on buttons and pricing plans. These are linked to a random identifier stored in your browser's local storage, not to your name. We don't use cookies.
- Technical details: your approximate country (provided by our hosting provider), your browser's user-agent string, the referring page, and campaign parameters such as an ad click identifier if you arrived from an ad.
How we use it
- To email you about the product whose list you joined, mainly to tell you when it launches.
- To measure interest in products in development and decide which ones to build.
- To see which ads and pages lead to signups and purchases.
- Photos are used only to make the pages you asked for. They're processed on our own computers, are never shared with other companies, and are never used to train AI models. We check uploads automatically to block misuse.
- For a printed order, we check the book by hand, then send the print files made from your pages (not your photos), your shipping address and phone number to our print partner, Lulu, to print and deliver it.
- Party details are used only to make your kit. They're never shared with other companies or used to train AI models.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use third-party analytics or advertising trackers on these pages.
Who processes it
Our pages and database are hosted by Cloudflare. Payments are processed by Stripe under its own privacy policy. Printed books are printed and shipped by Lulu (Lulu Press, Inc.) under its own privacy policy. If you arrive by clicking a Google or Reddit ad, that company handles the click under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep your email until the product launches or we decide not to build it, and then delete it unless you've become a customer. Uploaded photos are deleted within 24 hours of upload, and the pages made from them (including files you bought) within 7 days. For a printed order, the print files are kept for up to about 45 days after the order, and the order record with its shipping address is kept with the purchase records. Party details and the kit made from them are deleted 2 days after you enter them if you don't buy, or 30 days after you buy. If you tell us how your party went, we keep those answers (not your guests' names) to improve the mysteries. Purchase records are kept as long as tax law requires. Usage data is kept for up to 18 months.
Your choices
Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe. To see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, email privacy@colorkinbooks.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Children
These pages aren't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information. Parents may upload photos of their own children to make pages for them; please only upload photos you have the right to use.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
